Fesses in da house

The fesse owes its amusing name to its shape. The two loaves joined in the middle resemble a well-rounded human derrière. The crunchy crust and smooth dense crumb make it excellent for toast or sandwiches.

Ce que j'aime !

The Attack of Clowns

Our clown is going to perform with his red nose from the orbit. (of course, there is the yellow one, also, for the grumpy mood).

What is he going to do there?

I am not a scientist, I'm not a doctor, I'm not an engineer," he said. "I'm an organizer, a showman, and a creator -- I have an entertaining personality, so that is really what I am bringing here.

Well, as we can see, substantial money always makes the big things happened much easier, even to persuade others to take a grumpy showman-organizer aboard.

It is very strange because the Russian space program authorites declared recently that they would stop inviting space tourists. Ha-ha?

Russians beat Russians

A news from the chess world is promising us an interesting adventure: two everlasting rivals meet at the same chessboard tomorrow. Again, Karpov versus Kasparov!

This match was stopped 25 years ago. Now it is time to continue.

I agree with Kasparov that the chess lost its charm during last decades but such kind of competition is supposed to add a dash of pepper to the tedious chess kitchen of our modern super computer era.

Russian president acknowledges internet users' unfluence on glasnost

As we can see, Mr. Medvedev acknowledges in his interview to CNN the influence of Internet users on Glasnost in Russia:

"... in the modern age of global information, there are no subjects you can conceal. You can sometimes be silent about or hold back certain things on TV, but remembering the fact that there are around 40 million Internet users in Russia today, people from across the country will learn the news within five minutes. Therefore, trying to curtail press freedom is a totally hopeless thing to do."

But we must admit as well, that sometimes they still manage to do this hopeless thing. From Glasnost to Perestroyka?
